At the end of World War I in 1918, Francesco Pio Balbi formed the eponymous company whose business was turned on imports (especially from Germany) and sales of various hardware for the home.
Then the focus turns to the shipping industry starting to produce door, locks and other accessories for the merchant navy.
After World War II Pius Francis, assisted by his son Celso Henry began to work in the field of boating accessories countering the dominance of English, at that time the only ones available.
At that time the company had to overcome the strong concerns of users against some newly designed accessories. Nobody, for example, was willing to assemble into the bilge pumps of immersion ATTWOOD arguing that it was definitely a crazy immerse electrical wiring in the bilge, nor were willing to replace old tires with Polyform inflatable fenders.
The difficulties were all overcome and today the company boats oldest Italy, directed by Mario, nephew of Pius, was rewarded for his determination and is a pioneer in the distribution of high quality products from the best marine industries worldwide .
