INSTRUMENTATION BARIGO

To keep your instruments in perfect condition with case in polished brass we recommend:

rinse with fresh water and dry the outer case of the instruments if entered into contact with salt spray.
protect your tools by applying at least every six months, with a soft cloth, a layer of beeswax.
categorically avoid polishing the boxes with tools and abrasive substances. This operation would remove the varnish on the instruments and making damaging consequently invalidate the warranty.
Adjustment of barometer: the factory provides the barometer calibrated to sea level, that is zero meters. To adjust the barometer to a different altitude, adjust the screw that is on the back of the instrument. The exact value you can get for comparison with another barometer or the weather service broadcast on television, from regional agencies responsible land or weather information via the Internet.

Instructions for use of hygrometers and thermometers:

As is recommended that you place a wall or not subject to air flow or to direct radiation of the sun to heat. The hygrometers and thermometers only measure the conditions of the rooms near the measuring elements. A healthy room climate is between 20 and 22 ° C and between 45 and 70% RH. During the winter the humidity may drop below 20% u. rel. in this case should be artificially humidified air. The hygrometers and thermometers are checked and adjusted after manufacture with precision, so these tools are usually ready for use immediately. After a certain storage time, please check the hygrometer before use.

For calibration or adjustment of the instruments is as follows:

Hygrometer
If the instrument is used indoors or in dry conditions, the measuring element dries over time and the indication is no longer accurate. At least every three months you should calibrate the hygrometer. To do this you put the instrument for about 6 hours in a closed pot with a certain amount of water (see illustration).
Immediately after opening the lid on adjusting the index Hygrometer 95% RH. This is done by turning the adjustment screw into the slot on the back of a watchmaker with a screwdriver. After a while, the hygrometer will return the correct value of the place of use. The accuracy of the hygrometer is between 3 and 5% and depends on regular maintenance.
Thermometer
Only in exceptional cases should be a correction of the index position of the thermometer. On the back of the box you will find an adjustment slot through which you can adjust with screwdriver indication of the index.
Confortmetro
The confortmetro is a combination of a hygrometer and a thermometer. The division of the stairs and position of the indices are set so that the optimum temperature and humidity in an environment when you cross the two indices on the field scale that is highlighted in the "comfort zone".
